Mushrooms thrive in damp and dark environments. If you are growing mushrooms, you may need to use a humidifier to maintain the recommended humidity level.

Mushrooms do not contain chlorophyll, which means they do not require photosynthesis and can thrive in the dark. However, they require a certain amount of light to facilitate the formation of their fruiting bodies.

Mushroom plants need water to produce fruit. Mushrooms don't have skins and water dissolves easily, which is why they need to grow in a highly humid environment to retain moisture.

Mushrooms are mostly water, so it can be said that they need water to grow. The weather was so dry that the mushrooms either didn't grow at all, didn't grow well, or burst. But that doesn't mean mushrooms need watering, just like potted plants. If your mushrooms are stagnant in water, they are likely to get moldy, which can poison them.

What temperature and humidity do mushrooms need?

Mushrooms will thrive in cool environments with temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius. Wild mushrooms are not fussy when it comes to temperature. Fungal bodies can be formed at temperatures between 4 and 32 °C. Commercially grown mushrooms thrive at a temperature of 5°C.

The solution is to keep the air around the growing fungus moist. If you grow mushrooms indoors or for commercial purposes, you may need to use a humidifier.

Ultrasonic humidifier, releases fine mist, similar to pressure steam, with fog particle size of 1~5μs, effortlessly increases the relative humidity above 99% RH, and rapid evaporation increases the humidity to the desired level. The output of the device can be easily fitted with PVC pipes for better humidity control, while also allowing fresh air to be introduced, which helps reduce carbon dioxide levels and grow better mushrooms.

Humidifying a mushroom growing room with a humidifier requires better control of the humidity in the environment. If there is too much moisture, mushrooms can become overly wet, leading to contamination such as bacterial or "wet spots." Ultrasonic humidifiers have high precision and can realize automatic constant humidity control to better meet accurate humidification.
