Air purifier manufacturers tell you, blowing air conditioners or blowing formaldehyde? Formaldehyde pollution in summer is fiercer than tigers!

  With the arrival of summer, air conditioners have become an indispensable tool for people to cool down. However, when we close the windows and blow air conditioners, formaldehyde also "resurges". Why?

  First of all, the gypsum board, processed wood (paint-free board), latex paint, glue, paint and furniture and leather furniture used in our decoration contain a lot of formaldehyde, and with the help of high temperature in summer , will accelerate the release speed;

  Secondly, in summer, there is a lot of rain, the air humidity is high, and the air pressure is relatively low, and due to the rise in temperature, people generally use air conditioners instead of ventilation to cool down, which will reduce the convection between indoor air and outdoor air, and the space will be sealed, which is not conducive to the discharge of indoor harmful gases. As well as the exchange of indoor and outdoor air, gypsum board, processed wood (paint-free board), latex paint, glue, paint and furniture as well as leather furniture used for plastering, contain a large amount of formaldehyde, which is hot in summer. With the help of , the release speed will be accelerated;

  Furthermore, the increase in temperature in summer accelerates the speed of human metabolism, and the wastes discharged by the human body will also increase accordingly, which will adversely affect the indoor environment.

  So, how should we deal with the summer formaldehyde problem? I have the following suggestions:

  1. Ventilation is the simplest and most traditional method: open more windows for ventilation, and directly remove harmful gases such as formaldehyde, allowing more fresh air to enter the room and reducing the concentration of formaldehyde;

  2. Activated carbon is also a relatively common method to remove formaldehyde. Activated carbon is initially used for odor adsorption after decoration, and it also has a certain adsorption effect on indoor pollutants such as formaldehyde. There is one thing to note when using activated carbon to remove formaldehyde. The service life of activated carbon is only about 6 months, and it is easy to be saturated. After saturation, activated carbon cannot continue to adsorb, so pay attention to observe the use of carbon packs and replace them in time.

  3. When using an air purifier, when choosing an air purifier for new decoration or needing to remove formaldehyde, pay attention to the choice. The activated carbon component contained in the purifier is preferably coconut shell. The heavier the weight, the better the formaldehyde removal effect. In autumn and winter, air purifiers can also play a role in removing smog.
