  K4 Air Purifier

Today, with serious air pollution, for people who drive to and from get off work every day, everyone is more and more aware of the need for a truly effective in-car air purifier in the car, especially when it is smoggy or smoking in the car. However, how to choose an excellent product from a wide variety of car air purifiers often makes people feel confused and troubled.

  1. When choosing a car air purifier, first look at the CADR value

The Chinese name of CADR is the clean air output ratio, which refers to the ratio of the clean air output of the air purifier obtained by the American Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) in accordance with strict testing standards. The parameters of the air purifier's ability to purify target pollutants (particulate matter and gaseous pollutants) under the rated state and specified test conditions, it indicates the rate at which the air purifier provides clean air, in cubic meters per hour (m³/h). ).

Simply put, the CADR value represents the purification ability and speed of the air purifier. The larger the CADR value, the faster the purification speed; conversely, the smaller the CADR value, the slower the purification speed.

  2. Try to choose larger ones, not smaller ones

When designing an air purifier, the first thing to consider is how to increase the CADR value, that is, to use a wind-driven fan is an important factor. If the fan needs to output a large air volume, the diameter of the fan needs to be larger. Therefore, if the size of the vehicle air purifier is small, it means that the fan used is small, the output air volume and the measured CADR are relatively small, and the purification speed is also slow. In other words, small car air purifiers, such as small and ultra-thin ones, such as small car air purifiers with cup holders placed in the column shape, although they look beautiful, they can hardly achieve the effect of purification.

  3. To choose a large filter element, the larger and thicker the filter element, the better

The filter element of the car air purifier is the key component to improve the purification effect. The larger and thicker the filter element, the better. It's just that the appearance is novel and the filter element used is small, which cannot achieve the purification effect at all, and can only be regarded as a decoration in the car. The main mission of the car air purifier is to remove odors and tiny particles such as PM2.5 in the car, and the removal of formaldehyde is a secondary factor. The reason is that, after all, the size of the car air purifier is limited, and it cannot eradicate the harmful substances of formaldehyde that are continuously volatilized in the car. Therefore, instead of completely entrusting the task of removing formaldehyde to the car air purifier, it is best to open the window regularly for ventilation.

  4. Is it easy to replace the filter element?

The filter element of the air purifier must be replaced regularly. Therefore, when choosing a car air purifier, we must pay attention to whether the filter element is easy to replace? For the air purifier design team, considering the user experience is the most important.

  5. The noise value of the car air purifier should be considered

The noise level of the car air purifier is also an important factor. The new national standard GB/T18801-2015 stipulates that the maximum noise of vehicle air purifiers cannot exceed 55dB(A). The reason for this regulation is to prevent manufacturers from blindly increasing the fan speed and CADR value without considering noise. That is to say, the CADR value must be compared under the condition that the noise does not exceed 55dB(A). In fact, the 55dB(A) noise hardly feels any noise when used in the car. Also note here that the noise value refers to the sound power level, not the sound pressure level. The noise value of the sound power level is generally about 14 dB(A) larger than the sound pressure level. Therefore, when checking the noise value, it is necessary to confirm whether it is the sound power level. Because, in order to cover up the high noise value, some manufacturers express it according to the value of sound pressure level.
