What to do with dust? Use an air purifier for sure.

What are the ways to reduce dust?

　　1. Reduce temperature and humidity.

Dust mites prefer warm, humid conditions above 70°F (21°C) and 50 percent humidity.

Temperature: Keep the thermostat in the room below 21 degrees Celsius.

Humidity: Effective control of mites requires maintaining relative humidity below 50%. According to relevant research, drying the sheets can greatly reduce the number of mites. Of course, in winter everyone may use an air humidifier. As long as the humidity is controlled at about 40%, it is still feasible.

　　2. Weekly cleaning

Change pillowcases, sheets, and blankets weekly, and vacuum around bed bases and mattresses. Clean floors: Use a damp mop or rag to remove dust. Don't use a dry cloth or broom, as this just stirs up the mite allergen.

　　3. Wash all bedding frequently.

Wash bedding, including blankets, mattresses, and comforters, in hot water (130°F (or 60°C) weekly). Cold and warm water will not kill mites. Also need to wash the curtains.

　　4. Use an air purifier

Most filters remove 50% to 70% of suspended particles. HEPA filters remove up to 99% of particles; not just dust mite droppings, but also a variety of other allergens like animal dander, dust, pollen, cockroach droppings, etc...

　　5. Keep your air purifier filter on

The air purifier filter should be replaced regularly. The general time is 3-6 months, but there are inevitably special circumstances. If the dust pollution is severe, the time should be shortened. You can observe the cleanliness of the filter and replace it.
