　　Past Lives of Essential Oils The first records of essential oils come from ancient India, Persia, and Egypt; Greece and Rome conducted a large trade in aromatic oils and ointments with Eastern countries. It is likely that these products are extracts made by dipping flowers, roots and leaves in fatty oils.

　　In most ancient cultures, aromatic plants or their resinous products were used directly. The technique of distilling essential oils was not developed until the golden age of Arab culture.

　　The Arabs first distilled ethanol from fermented sugars, providing a new solvent for extracting essential oils to replace fats that may have been in use for thousands of years.

Her charming femininity and her dazzling beauty were mostly attributed to a mysterious, precious and unusual balm at that time. This balm was extracted from flowers, which is the natural plant essential oil that we know today.
