  (1) Steam humidification

Spray steam directly into the air. This is an approximate isothermal humidification process. If steam is directly sprayed out through the small hole of the nozzle, condensed water will be generated due to the cooling of the steam during the flow process inside the pipe. The sprayed steam will carry condensed water, leading to problems such as bacterial proliferation and odor generation. The air conditioning units currently use dry steam humidifiers to avoid entrainment of condensed water. The steam pressure range used is 0.02~0.4MPa. Steam pressure is high and noise is high, so it is advisable to choose steam with lower pressure. The dry steam humidifier humidifies quickly, evenly, stably, without water droplets, and the humidification amount is easy to control. It is suitable for places with strict humidity control, but can only be used in buildings with steam sources.

  (2) High pressure spray humidification

Use the water pump to pressurize the water to 0.3~0.35MPa for spray, and the average particle size can be 20~30 μ m. Heat absorption and vaporization in the air is a near isoenthalpy humidification process. The advantages of high-pressure spray are large humidification, low noise, low power consumption and low operating costs. The disadvantage is that there are water droplets that precipitate, and using water that has not been softened will result in a "white powder" phenomenon. This is currently a widely used humidification method for air conditioning units.

  (3) Wet film humidification

Wet film humidification, also known as watering filler layer humidification. Use the surface of wet materials to evaporate water into the air for humidification. Glass fiber, metal wire, corrugated cardboard, and other materials can be used to make a certain thickness of filler layer. The material is moistened by spraying water or water, and air is humidified through the filler layer. Like high-pressure spray, this humidification process is close to isoenthalpy. The advantages of this humidification method are simple equipment structure, small volume, the filler layer having the function of filtering dust, and the filler also has the function of blocking water, which will not carry water droplets in the air. The disadvantage is that the wet surface is prone to microbial growth, and the filling layer with ordinary water is prone to scale formation. In addition, the filling layer is easily blocked by dust and requires regular maintenance.
