  Composition of air

In terms of HVAC engineering design, air is considered to be composed of pure dry air and water vapor.

  Relative Humidity:

Humidity is defined as "the amount of moisture in the air".

This moisture is in the form of water vapor, and visible water droplets that do not evaporate into water vapor will not affect the humidity. The term "relative humidity" refers to "the ratio of the actual water content in a volume of air to the maximum water saturation of the air at a certain temperature, expressed as a percentage (%)", so: Ma relative humidity (RH)=------/t Mg Ma=water content in the air Mg=the maximum water capacity of the air t=temperature

Enthalpy: A thermodynamic property of a substance. It is defined as the sum of the volume, pressure product and internal energy of the substance

The psychrometric chart, also known as the air line chart, is a kind of chart drawn by thermodynamics. It is convenient for various air conditioning problems related to water vapor and temperature change to be solved simply by drawing.

Specific Temperature: also called specific humidity. Ratio of water vapor mass to dry air mass in wet air, kg/kg dry air

Dry bulb temperature: the dry bulb temperature of air is the temperature measured by ordinary dry bulb thermometer.

Wet bulb temperature: the wet bulb temperature of air is the temperature measured by the wet bulb thermometer. The wet bulb thermometer refers to a thermometer that wraps the temperature sensing bulb of a general thermometer with a wet gauze.

Dew point: the temperature at which water vapor in the gas mixture starts to condense when the temperature decreases.

Condensation: When the air is in a very humid state, it becomes saturated air with 100% relative humidity. At this time, as long as the temperature drops, water droplets can be seen. This phenomenon is called condensation.

Latent heat: Latent represents hiding. The usage of HVAC refers to the energy change when the phase changes and the temperature does not change. Each substance has a different latent enthalpy.

Sensible heat: Sensible represents perceptible. HVAC refers to the heat required to change temperature. This change can be measured with a thermometer.
