Application of Humidification Engineering in Thermal Power Plant

The biggest problems faced by thermal power plants are more dust, higher temperature in the plant and lower relative humidity in the air. If the staff works in this environment for a long time, they will have diseases, which will lead to respiratory diseases and be harmful to their health. It feels dry when working. For this reason, a large number of power plants are carrying out air humidification transformation projects. At present, in the new thermal power plant, humidification has become an indispensable project.

The advantages of using humidification engineering in thermal power plants are as follows:

　　1. It can greatly reduce the dust in the air

　　2. It can greatly reduce the temperature of the working environment in the plant

　　3. Reduces failures of the machine

　　4. Keep the physical and mental health of the staff and avoid the occurrence of diseases

Static electricity is generated due to friction, and the air is dry and easy to be electrified, resulting in unpleasant electric shock. In addition, static electricity causes the shutdown of production machinery, reducing production efficiency, and can also cause the wrong operation of the computer. When the humidity is kept at about 60% RH, the resistivity of the charged body decreases and static charges are released, which can inhibit the generation of static electricity.
