According to Lu Jianguo, secretary general of the Cleaning Appliances Branch of the National Household Appliances Standardization Technical Committee, the standard is expected to be released in October 2017 and implemented around May 2018.

It mainly proposes corresponding technical requirements and test methods for electrostatic dust collection filters, and uses them as the scope of application of the standard. It is closely related to the single filter efficiency, wind resistance, ozone release, input power and other indicators of particulate matter. 　　"Electrostatic Filter" proposes three technical requirements: appearance requirements, filtration performance and safety requirements. Among them, the filtration performance focuses on the evaluation of 4 indicators of single filtration efficiency, wind resistance, input power and performance after cleaning; the safety requirements mainly evaluate the two aspects of ozone and fire protection unique to electrostatic dust collectors. Ran Hongyu, chairman of Beon Technology Co., Ltd., said: "On the basis of the current national standard GB/T18801 "Air Purifier", this standard regulates the test method of electrostatic dust filter, which corresponds to the technical requirements, and focuses on the proposed Test method for filtration performance and ozone safety of electrostatic dust filters after cleaning."

He said: "In this standard, it does not stipulate what value the product must achieve after cleaning, but only gives the ratio of the initial value after cleaning. The initial value of the test is carried out according to the instructions provided by the supplier." "Electrical Appliances" reporter Browsing the draft of the "Electrostatic Filter" standard for review, it is found that the standard requires that the single filtration efficiency of the electrostatic filter after cleaning shall not be lower than 90% of the measured value of the initial single filtration efficiency.

　　For the ozone problem that consumers are more concerned about, the standard also puts forward requirements. Lu Jianguo said that ozone already has national mandatory standards, so the standard directly refers to GB4706.45 "Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances: Special Requirements for Air Purifiers", including before and after cleaning. The test method is in accordance with the provisions of GB4706.45, each test time is 24 hours of continuous operation, and the ozone concentration is detected by sampling every minute. The ozone concentration under the rated air volume after initial and cleaning shall not exceed the provisions of GB4706.45.
