  1. How to repair the fan motor when it burns

  1. The coil is burnt out. Take an ordinary shaking head fan as an example, there are 5 wires to the motor, there is a resistance of 100 to more than 300 ohms between any two wires, especially the connection between the two ends of the capacitor, there must be resistance in the measurement, three gear lines Sometimes there is one less resistor that can be used, just a few gears. At this point it is time to replace the coil.

  2. The capacitor is burned out. The capacitor is generally 1.5uF. Sometimes it is broken and there is no suitable size. You can use two or three large capacitors in series. For example, a 5uF capacitor, two in series is 2.5, and three in series is 1.7uF. The capacitor should not be increased. The only thing that can be turned if it is increased is that the motor has a short circuit between turns. If this is the case, it must be replaced with a new one.

  2. Judgment method of fan motor burning (judging by multimeter)

  The motor of the electric fan has 5 wires. They are 1st block, 2nd block, 3rd block, and 2 capacitor lines. Generally speaking, except for individual motors, the line colors of the three gears are red, blue, and green, and those connected to the capacitor are black and yellow. Disconnect all 5 wires from the motor. First, adjust the gear of the multimeter to the ohm gear, connect the red test lead to any capacitor line, and connect the black test lead to the 1st gear. First write down the resistance value, and then measure the 2nd and 3rd gears. Normally, the larger the measured gear, the greater the resistance value between the capacitor and the capacitor line. That is to say, if the resistance values of the above 3 gears are all infinite, or a certain gear is infinite, it means that the motor coil is blown or the coil of a certain gear is broken. The last point is to measure the 5 lines and the motor casing, that is, whether there is a short circuit to the ground.
