Cooling fans are very common in our lives. There are different classifications of cooling fans, among which the more important classifications are axial flow cooling fans and centrifugal cooling fans. These two kinds of fans have a wide range of applications, so what is the difference between these two kinds of fans? Next, let's follow the Taiwan fan brand to learn more about the difference between cooling fans and centrifugal fans.

The cooling fan can be divided into many types according to its air supply form, axial flow, mixed flow, centrifugal and so on. And according to its different forms of electricity, it can be divided into DC and AC. What is a DC cooling fan, and what is the difference between a DC cooling fan and an axial flow cooling fan?

To put it simply, the DC cooling fan converts electrical energy into machinery through DC voltage and electromagnetic induction, thereby driving the rotation of the fan blades to achieve the purpose of heat dissipation. The DC cooling fan runs on a DC power supply! The voltage of the DC power supply used must be consistent with the working voltage marked on the fan. The battery is a DC power supply. If it is used to drive a DC fan, in addition to charging, it also depends on whether the voltage of the battery is consistent with the working voltage of the fan. If it is inconsistent, a DC/DC converter should be used to make the voltage consistent.

The principle of DC cooling fan operation is according to Ampere's right-hand rule. When a conductor passes current, a magnetic field will be generated around it. If the conductor is placed in another fixed magnetic field, suction or repulsion will be generated, causing the object to move. Inside the fan blade of the DC cooling fan, there is a rubber magnet pre-filled with magnetism. Surrounding the silicon steel sheet, the shaft is wound with two sets of coils, and the Hall induction component is used as a synchronous detection device to control a set of circuits, which make the two sets of coils wound around the shaft work in turn.

The speed measurement signal of the DC cooling fan is generally output from the three-lead plug. The yellow and black of the three leads are +12V power supply and grounding respectively, and the other color line is the speed signal output line. It should be noted that the third lead of some three-lead DC cooling fans is not the speed measurement signal output line, but the speed control signal line, through which the speed control signal is input to the DC fan motor. So far, there are two types of monitoring methods for the fan itself: alarm sensor and speed sensor. Using the alarm sensor, an alarm signal can be given when the fan speed is lower than a certain threshold, and the speed signal output can realize the real-time monitoring of the fan speed. monitor.

The axial flow cooling fan, also known as the axial flow fan. Mainly suitable for exhaust air in places such as dust and gravel fields; medium-sized axial fans are mainly suitable for indoor ventilation and heat removal, such as granaries, etc.; small axial fans are mainly suitable for ventilation and heat dissipation of mechanical equipment, such as : Electrical cabinet, etc. When an axial fan works, the blades push the air to flow in the same direction as the shaft, so it is called an axial fan.
