  1. Essential oils are generally not to be taken internally, unless it is stated that they can be taken orally or as directed by an aromatherapist or physician.

  11. Newborns (within 2 weeks) should not use essential oils. After 2 weeks, use a drop of lavender in the tub. All essential oils for children under the age of 12 must be diluted to 1/4 the amount used by adults (1 for adults, 1/4 for children). For those over 12 years old, it is 1/2 of the adult dose.
