What is the principle of an air purifier?

　　In order to show that the air purifier is effective, the first question to be answered is whether the air purifier can remove solid or gaseous pollutants in the air. This will start with the working principle of the purifier. Regarding the fine particles, what the air purifier needs to do is to keep the fine particles on the filter in some way. There are many ways to stop particulate matter, which can be summed up in two ways: the particulate matter hits itself, or the filter absorbs the particulate matter through a certain force. The former method is naturally more effective for larger particles, and the latter is more effective for smaller particles. The combination of the two methods is difficult to filter out those small particles-that is, the standard fine particles used to calibrate the efficiency of the filter (the particles with an aerodynamic diameter of 0.3 microns). A possible improvement method is to add a catalyst on the basis of activated carbon adsorption, so that the adsorbed formaldehyde and other gaseous organic matter can be decomposed, thereby increasing the cumulative purification capacity of the filter.

　　In short, for different pollutants, the basic principle of air purifiers is to continuously circulate the indoor air, and adopt some means to adsorb the pollutants in the air on the filter, and then discharge the filtered air.
