Can air purifiers replace fresh air systems?

　　The fresh air system can purify the outdoor fresh air and then transport it to the indoor, and then pump out the turbid indoor air. This circulation mode can maintain normal indoor ventilation even when the outdoor air quality is poor, which is better than the ventilation effect of opening windows.

　　In contrast, air purifiers can only continuously filter indoor air. If there is no ventilation, the indoor air will become turbid, and people will still feel uncomfortable after staying in such an environment for a long time. However, if the air is ventilated, the outdoor pollutants will enter the room again, so the air purification has to be started from scratch. This purification method is not suitable for the situation where people are at home all day.

　　Although the current fresh air system has a certain ability to filter particulate pollutants, not all models are equipped with high-efficiency HEPA filters, and the purification ability depends on the specific product configuration. In addition, the fresh air system has very limited purification effect on indoor formaldehyde and other gaseous pollutants. It can only dilute indoor formaldehyde through ventilation, and the efficiency is also not as good as a reliable air purifier.

　　In contrast, air purifiers are basically equipped with HEPA filters above H11 level, and generally equipped with active peptide filters. The content of gaseous pollutants is controlled at a reasonable level.
